PURPOSE: A system and method for cooling are provided to use primarily oxygen gas as refrigerant. CONSTITUTION: A cooling system includes a magnetizer(10) comprising a plurality of magnetization elements having N poles and S poles placed closely to each other and small gaps for refrigerant gas to pass and magnetizing refrigerant gas which is paramagnetic gas such as oxygen; a refrigerator compartment(20) where magnetized refrigerant gas discharged from the magnetizer is demagnetized; and a circulation pump(30), a compressor, pressurizing the refrigerant gas to circulate in the magnetizer and the refrigerator compartment.
