LOCOMOTIVE SNOW REMOVAL ENHANCEMENT

A method and device to further remove snow left by a locomotive snowplow ( 2) while enhancing traction and control of a locomotive (8) or powered car. The snow removal enhancement method and device typically include a flap (36) arranged to extend beyond a bottom edge of a locomotive snowplow (2) over each rail (6). The flap (36) loosens and removes residual snow, as well as other debris, left b y the snowplow (2). The device handily removes snow while being constructed of the thinnest material possible.
