PURPOSE: A method for transmitting and receiving additional information is provided to allow a user to selectively view a past broadcasted program related with the program currently being broadcasted. CONSTITUTION: Each broadcasting program is divided into a plurality of pieces and different identifiers are respectively given to the pieces(101). The program, constructed in links including the identifiers and position information, is transmitted(103). If a specific broadcasting program is currently being displayed and a past broadcasting program related with the specific broadcasting program is provided in the form of links, the past broadcasting program is displayed on a TV screen in a list of links(104). When a user selects one of links displayed on the screen(105), the selected link is interpreted and corresponding broadcasting contents are displayed on the TV screen(107).
