<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method having a function of protecting an intangible property right established in data on a record carrier and to provide the recording medium. SOLUTION: The recording device of this invention is provided with conversion means 15, 18, 19 that convert a structure of data to have a file structure able to be handled by a software program to synchronously reproduce a moving picture or the like without the need for using a particular hardware unit and recording means 23, 24, 32, 33 that record the data on a recording medium. The file structure has a 1st data unit of real data, a 2nd data unit as a set of a plurality of the 1st data units, and a data part to describe management information used to manage a relation between the relation among a plurality of the 1st data units and the attribute of the real data in the 1st data unit, and the function of the recording device is configured to contain information to protect the intangible property right of the data.</p> |
