Container vehicle has open top compartment (70) for carrying bulk material and tailgate (80) to allow horizontal ejection when a door (90) is moved by an hydraulic jack (1). Jack is actuated by hydraulic distributors under the control of electrovalves and the hydraulic circuits are protected from excess pressure by a deviator and a flow divider. Electrical contact in jack closing circuit ensures that tailgate is open before jack operation
