PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new fabric for simultaneously meeting lightweightness and thermal insulation, and to provide a method for producing such a fabric by a special and ideal hollow structure forming process comprising fabric formation followed by running out and removing the core component in the dyeing finishing step. SOLUTION: This nylon spun woven fabric has a basis weight of <=300 g/m<2> and a CLO value indicating thermal insulation of >=0.75. the other objective method for producing the above spun nylon woven fabric comprises making a fabric using conjugate spun yarns each composed of a polyamide as the sheath component and a polyester as the core component and then treating the fabric with a hot aqueous alkaline solution.
