RADIATION IMAGE RECORDING AND READING METHOD AND DEVICE AS WELL AS STIMULABLE PHOSPHOR SHEET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the deterioration of the quality of a radiation image in the radiation image recording and reading method and device for irradiating a stimulable phosphor sheet with a radiation from a base side and reading the image from the stimulable phosphor side. SOLUTION: The stimulable phosphor sheet 1 having a reflection layer 4 of <=5μm in scattering length between a stimulable phosphor layer 2 and a base layer 3 is used. This stimulable phosphor sheet 1 is irradiated with the radiation from the base layer side by radiation irradiating means 10. The stimulable phosphor sheet 1 is then irradiated with exciting light by an exciting light irradiating section 21 from the stimulable phosphor layer side of the stimulable phosphor sheet 1 irradiated with the radiation and the stimulated luminous light generated from the stimulable phosphor layer 2 by the irradiation with the exciting light is detected by a stimulated luminous light detecting section 25 from the stimulable phosphor layer side.
