PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To resolve the problems of lack of precision as a means for surely checking presence or absence of a mounted chip, of costs and a space required for a stopper device and of requisite of maintenance of the device. SOLUTION: In this one chip separating/carrying device, a leading end of a chip carrying groove 1a of a rectilinearly advancing feeder 1 is provided to directly face closely an entrance of a recessed portion 3 of a rotor 2, on one side of a leading end portion of a chip carrying groove 1a, a notch portion 7 for discharging the chip is formed, and on a lower position of the notch portion, a sucking/eliminating hole 9 for suction/discharge is provided. The one chip separating/carrying device comprises light transmission sensors 7 for detecting presence or absence of loading of the chip t into the recessed portion 3 at upper and lower positions of the recessed portion 3 of the rotor 2 facing the leading portion of the chip carrying groove 1a, and at least one suction hole 6 opened for sucking and stopping the chip t on an inner surface of the leading end of the chip carrying groove 1a.
