PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for artificial leather production, with which is dyeing an artificial leather raw fabric composed of an aqueous polyurethane resin by a jet dyeing machine, the urethane resin is extremely slightly dropped and stain in the jet dyeing machine and reattachment to a fabric to be dyed by the dropped urethane resin are extremely improved. SOLUTION: In dyeing, a dye and a poly(sodium α-hydroxyacrylate) having 3×10<3> -100×10<3> molecular weight and/or sodium ligninsulfonate having pH 8.0-9.5 in 5% aqueous solution and 8×10<3> -25×10<3> average molecular weight in the concentration of 0.2-3.0 g/l are added to the jet dyeing machine to carry out the dyeing.
