PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile phone that allows a user to utilize various functions other than a voice function without troubling surrounding people. SOLUTION: A transmission circuit 10 of a mobile phone 1 configured with an antenna 3, a speaker 2 and a microphone 7 connected to a voice processing section 13, a reception circuit 9, the transmission circuit 10 and a control circuit 11, is provided with a transmission circuit stop section 30 and a transmission circuit state display section 40, the operation of the transmission circuit 10 only is stopped, emission of an electromagnetic wave is stopped to allow the user to continuously use functions such as a game, electronic mail and WEB browser other than the voice. Furthermore, the operating state of the transmission circuit 10 is displayed by a lamp 4.
