PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steam cooling system for a gas turbine capable of improving the plant efficiency while securing the steam for cooling, and removing the restrictions in designing an exhaust gas boiler, for securing the cooling steam. SOLUTION: In this steam cooling system for the gas turbine, a high temperature component of the gas turbine 1 is cooled by the steam of a high pressure turbine 7 capable of securing the sufficient amount of steam, restrictions on the amount of steam capable of being supplied for cooling is removed, the amount of steam necessary for cooling can be secured without adding a backup steam system applying high pressure steam as a supply source, and changing the design of the exhaust gas boiler 2 to secure the amount of steam of intermediate pressure for cooling, further the plant efficiency can be improved even when the steam for cooling is secured, and the exhaust gas boiler 2 can be designed without the restrictions for securing the cooling steam.
