The track includes a means for restricting and/or preventing movement of the joint in the rail length direction, e.g. cooperating stopper devices on the rail foundation and bridge plate (5) or parts thereof. The stopper devices can be border elements of e.g. cross-members or specially formed cavities or protrusions (17) on e.g. the concrete bedding or other parts of the rail foundation.
