PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform color conversion from a 1st color space to a 2nd color space. SOLUTION: A pixel value represented in a starting color space is received in a processor and also represented as a function of the pixel value and intermediate-point interpolation in a previously defined look-up table in a final color space, and the converted pixel value is specified to generate the converted pixel value in the final color space through an output device. A system is equipped with a means for specifying a specified color value in the 1st color space, a processor which receives the color space value representing a color predetermined as a function of the specified color value and intermediate-point interpolation as the converted color space value from a look-up table specified by the final color space, a memory device which stores the converted color space value, and an output device for generating the converted color space value and generates the specified color in the final color space.
