PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device capable of simplifying a circuit description language code to describe each of state machines by dividing a state machine converting to a state required for controlling a communication bus. SOLUTION: A driver IC1 in this invention is provided with the communication interface part 2, the state machines 3-4, a RAM 5, and a bus interface part 6. The state machine converting to a state required for controlling the communication bus is divided into the state machines 3-4, and thereby the circuit description language code to describe each of the state machines 3-4 can be simplified.
