PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sample transporting container that can efficiently and surely separate blood plasma from a very small quantity of blood and, at the same time, can measure multitudinous analytical components with accuracy. SOLUTION: This sample transporting container contains a separating agent which separates blood plasma from blood based on the principle of chromatography. The container holds a piece F of filter paper without covering the surface of the piece F by means of a plate-shaped lower member L having a sufficient size to lay the piece F, and an upper member U which is lapped on the lower member L and only engaged with part of the piece F. To the piece F of filter paper, salt, saccharides, and amino acid or protein are independently or combinedly added.
