PURPOSE: A method for transmitting a dial tone in a WLL(Wireless Local Loop) terminal is provided to apply all functions controlled by a switch to the WLL terminal by sensing a DTMF(Dual Tone Multi Frequency), converting the sensed DTMF into a send DTMF message, and transmitting the send DTMF message to the switch through a base station. CONSTITUTION: It is checked whether a service connect message is received in a traffic state(ST16). If the service connect message is received, a key scan is performed(ST17). If a key signal is received, a send DTMF message corresponding to a key value is transmitted to a system(ST18). The system receives the send DTMF message, analyzes the received send DTMF message, converts the send DTMF message into an analog signal, and bypasses the analog signal to a switch by wire(ST19). The switch receives the message, performs a procedure according to a numbering plan, and provides a ring back tone to a terminal(ST20). The terminal checks whether the ring back tone generated from the switch is received(ST21). If the ring back tone is received, a channel is formed for performing a telephone conversation(ST22).
