PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing rail for a CRT is provided to achieve improved quality and minimize defective ratio by preventing damage of the surface of the rail, while allowing the panel and shadow mask to be easily coupled with each other. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises a step(20) of inserting a rod used as a material for a rail(10), into a pair of first rollers(22) and trimming the protruded part of the surface of the rod; a step(30) of coating the rail; a step(40) of preventing damage of the surface of the rail by passing the rail through a pair of second rollers arranged at a wire drawing machine(41); a step(50) of washing the rail in a liquid reservoir and a vapor reservoir; a step(70) of rolling the rail through the use of a plurality of rolling mills; and a step(80) of cutting the rail into a predetermined length.
