PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus realizing the shortening of a startup time by using an auxiliary power source as a power source to heat a fixing part for heating developer with which an image is formed on recording paper and fixing it on the recording paper. SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus 1 is provided with an auxiliary power source part 24 in an energy saving power source part 21, and power is supplied from the power source part 24 to a fixing control part 32 through a power relay 42. Then, the apparatus 1 is shifted from an energy saving mode to a printing mode through a startup mode, and the startup time of the apparatus 1 equipped with the energy saving mode from a standby time to a printing feasible time by effectively utilizing limited power inputted in the device 1 is shortened. |
