PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a variation in an air-fuel ratio between cylinders and a variation in torque between the cylinders. SOLUTION: An exhaust emission air-fuel ratio of cylinders #1 to #7 for which the acting angle of an intake valve 2 is set to a specified acting angle, for example, to the maximum acting angle is calculated based on output values from an air-fuel ratio sensor 57. Based on the exhaust emission air-fuel ratio, the variation in fuel injection amount between the cylinders is suppressed.
