<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Mannich base composition which has an excellent performance and excellent physical characteristics, and particularly is highly effective for the control of suction valve deposits in internal combustion engines. SOLUTION: The Mannich base composition is prepared by reacting (i) at least one disubstituted hydroxy aromatic compound having on the ring both (a) an aliphatic hydrocarbyl substituent group derived from a polyolefin having a number average molecular weight in the range of about 500 to about 3,000 and (b) a 1-4C alkyl, (ii) a specific secondary amine, and the like.</p> |
