PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lens boring method which enables even an unskilled person to form a through hole in a lens at an accurate position. SOLUTION: A sample lens 130 is fixed on a boring device 50. A fixed rod 120 is run through the through hole formed in the sample lens 130, and support pins 76 are arranged at the periphery of the sample lens 130 to fix the position of the sample lens 130. The sample lens 130 and fixed rod 120 are removed and a lens which is actually used is placed, so that the lens is positioned with the support pins 76 arranged at the specific positions. In this state, a hole is bored in the lens by a drill 60 and then bored in the lens at the same position with the through hole of the sample lens 130.
