PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new electroconductive heat-resistant aluminum alloy wire, with excellent mechanical strengths, and a production method therefor. SOLUTION: A rough drawing wire of an aluminum alloy having a composition containing, by weight, 0.10 to 0.50% Zr and 0.05 to 0.50% Sc, and the balance Al with inevitable impurities is cold-worked at a reduction in area of >=30%. The wire is next heat-treatment at 100 to 500 deg.C for 1 to 100 hr, and is then cold-worked at a reduction in area of >=70% to form the alloy wire.
