摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent temporal deteriorations of moisture retaining ability and of the ability to remove excessive moisture provided by imparting water repellency to it, and enable for a battery performance at the initial stage to be maintained throughout the battery operation of a long time in a gas diffusion electrode of a polyelectrolytic fuel cell. SOLUTION: An electroconductive water repellent layer in the gas diffusion electrode is formed using fluorinated graphite of a specific composition.
