PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the external magnetic field influence to improve the measuring accuracy of an optical current transformer for obtaining a measured value of a current under test from the rotation angle of a linear polarized light rotating due to the magnetic field action of the current under test. SOLUTION: A polarizer unit integrating an incident fiber with a current detecting optical fiber through a polarizer and an optical detector integrating the current detecting optical fiber with an output fiber through an optical detector element are disposed closely, so that both ends of the current detecting optical fiber approximately align, as seen from the axis of a conductor along which a current under test flows.
