<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver that can easily obtain an accurate synchronizing signal when receiving an OFDM signal. SOLUTION: A transmitter of the OFDM signal includes an IFFT circuit that generates a multi-value QAM modulation signal, a guard interval setting circuit, and a clock signal generating circuit that drives both circuits, the IFFT circuit generates a pilot signal of a harmonic frequency whose phase is held constant for a plurality of symbol periods, and the pilot signal exists at a guard interval by an integer number of a wavelength or by an odd number of multiple of a half wavelength and is continuously transmitted over a plurality of symbol periods including the above periods. Thus, the receiver demodulates the pilot signal to generate an accurate clock signal to drive the receiver.</p> |
