<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely store transmitted data in a storage means in simple structure when a vehicle collides. SOLUTION: When the vehicle collides, an external power source is cut off and a power supply voltage detecting means detects that a residual voltage inside a collision information storage device becomes lower than a prescribed value. At such a time, an operating state change means switches equipment except for a storage means into low power consumption state (sleep state) and power required for operating the storage means is secured. Therefore, until a final history containing the conditions of the present vehicle or conditions of objects transmitted after the occurrence of collision is written in the storage means, the storage means can be held in an active state. Thus, data in the case of collision can be surely saved and effectively utilized for investigating the cause of accident without providing a special backup power source.</p> |
