PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector that excels in measures against heat as well as against noise. SOLUTION: An optical connector 1 consists of a connector housing 2, a shield case 3 and optical devices 4, 5. The shield case 3 is divided into a case body 8 and a radiating mechanism 9 that are joined to each other to form storing recesses 7. In the state where the case body 8 and the radiating mechanism 9 are joined, the device bodies 4a, 5a are positioned in the storing recesses 7 and held by being interposed between the case body 8 and the radiating mechanism 9. The non-connected face 9b of the radiating mechanism 9 is stored in the case-receiving recess 13 of the connector housing 2 in an externally exposed manner and is equipped with a radiating fin part 11 of a rugged shape. The storing recesses 7 into which the element bodies 4a, 5a are separately stored are provided side by side independently in a partitioned state in the case body 8.
