PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a feeder optimal for solving the problems in a paper feeding device used for a gatherer or the like wherein a plurality of paper feeding devices are driven by a common motor with large capacity, so that a driving mechanism is complicated, an operation sound is also large, and repairing work for failure or the like of feeding or conveying of sheets during the operation is difficult. SOLUTION: This feeder 1 has a pair of left casing 2 and right casing 3, and stores a motor M and a driving circuit C in one casing. Respective casings 2 and 3 are integrated by a central casing 30 for storing a paper separating mechanism 8 between facing surfaces, a paper feeding roller shaft 5-3 having a paper feeding roller 5 and a laterally conveying roller shaft 6-2 having a laterally conveying roller 6 are supported, these shafts 5-3 and 6-2 receive a driving force from the motor M, and a driven member such as the paper feeding roller 5, and the laterally conveying roller 6, and the like, the motor M as a driving source, and the driving circuit C of the motor M are integrally held to be united.
