PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic light emitting element of a red color, which is higher in luminous efficiency and longer in life than the before, and also provide a full-color display device better in balance among optical three primary colors, lower in consumed power and less in change of color variation with time than the before using this element, and an electric appliance having the display device. SOLUTION: A hole transport region 405 composed of a hole transport material, an electron transport region 406 composed of an electron transport material, and a mixing region (luminous region) 407 in which the hole transport material and electron transport material are mixed, and a red triplet luminescent material 408 is doped are provided in an organic compound film 403, thereby removing an interface between individual layers, which is present in the conventional lamination structure, and developing the functions of hole transport, electron transport and light emission. The organic light emitting element of a red color, which is low in consumed power and long in life, is obtained by this method. The organic light emitting element is used to produce a display device and an electrical appliance.
