PURPOSE: A vehicle hood having sliding opening and closing structure is provided to conveniently check the accessory devices in an engine room without disassembling the entire part of a hood by making the hood slidable. CONSTITUTION: A grip(13) is protrudingly inserted to a removal lever(12) connected with a cable(14). The cable is wound on a control unit(30) for controlling the movement of the cable. A rotating member(15) is connected with the other front end of the cable. A tension spring(18) is elastically installed on the bottom of the rotating member. A protrusion(17) formed on the lower end of a hood lever(16) supporting a hood(11) is supported on the rotating member. The protrusion of the hood lever is guided along a guide groove(22) formed in a guide rail(21). Since the hood is opened and closed by sliding, accessory devices in an engine room are checked without disassembling the hood.
