PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink which can sufficiently adapt to high-speed, high- quality ink jet printing independent of the kind of media. SOLUTION: The non-aqueous pigment ink for ink jet printing contains a pigment, a high-boiling solvent having a boiling point of >=150 deg.C which is easily dispersible in the pigment and a resin which is soluble to the high-boiling solvent. Preferably, the high-boiling solvent has a boiling point of >=200 deg.C and a surface tension of from 20 to 45 dyne/cm<2> . The resin which is soluble to the high-boiling solvent is preferably one or more resins chosen from the group consisting of nitrocellulose, a polyester resin, a polyvinyl butyral resin, a polyvinyl acetal resin, a chlorinated polyolefin resin, vinyl acetate, a vinyl acetate resin, an alkyd resin, a polycarbonate resin and a polyurethane resin. |
