<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that, on the occasion of a not so large number of observable signal samples, it is not efficient to search for a maximum value of an evaluation function about the frequency, especially, with a reduced frequency step width, resulting in an increased arithmetic process quantity, and hence it is devised to narrow the frequency range but this method needs a work for determining the search range. SOLUTION: The apparatus comprises a means for modeling signals sampled in a staggered trigger system according to an autoregressive model and calculating autoregressive model coefficients, a means for setting up a specified higher- degree equation based on the autoregressive model coefficients, a means for solving the higher-degree equation, and a means for calculating the frequency corresponding to a specified solution among solutions obtained by the higher- degree equation solving means.</p> |
