PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a sealability at connection positions on a large resin pipe. SOLUTION: In this method for sealing a large resin pipe, the large resin pipes provided by continuously forming angle ribs in spiral shape are butted against each other, and the connection flanges at both ends of the band are connected to each other to tighten the band so as to connect the joint of the large resin pipes with the band. Caulking material is applied to the corners of a valley between the angle ribs when filling member is filled along the valley between the angle ribs located at the position narrower than the effective width of the band. A substrate foam sheet formed of soft foam material with closed cells having an inner surface coated with glue is stuck along the shape of the valley. The caulking material is applied to the upper surface of the foam sheet, the filling material is filled, and the caulking material is inserted in a clearance between the substrate foam sheet and the filling member. Then the foam sheet having an inner surface coated with glue is wound on the connection positions of the resin pipe so as to cover the filling member, and the connection position of the resin pipes is lapped and band-connected. |
