PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for covering the inspection port of a heat storage tank, which can prevent the dew condensation at the surface of a receiving frame together with the improvement of heat accumulation efficiency, by thermally intercepting the relation between the heat of the atmosphere within the heat storage tank and the receiving frame. SOLUTION: The inspection port 4 is made at the top of the heat storage tank 1, and the metallic receiving frame 5 for inner cover is provided at the lower part of the inside periphery of this inspection port 4, and a metallic receiving frame 6 for inner cover at the upper part of the inside periphery, and an inner cover 14 is provided inside the receiving frame 5 for inner cover as a member for closing and opening the inspection port 4, and an upper cover 28, in opposition to the above inner cover 14, inside the receiving frame 6 for the upper cover, and the receiving frame 5 for inner cover is isolated from the inner space of the heat storage tank 1 via heat insulating materials 3 and 12, and the inner cover 14 is arranged across the heat insulating material 12 inside this receiving frame 5 for inner cover, and the receiving frame 6 for upper cover is attached onto the periphery of the receiving frame 5 for inner cover, with heat insulating material 20 between, and the upper cover 28 is arranged, forming a heat insulating air layer 33 inside between itself and the inner cover.
