PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restart image composition processing based on an appropriate original in appropriate timing even when adjustment completing time by an operator required from detecting abnormal feeding until releasing it is varied. SOLUTION: A printer control part CONT 2 controlling recovering operation from a jammed state has a first mode in which the recovery operation is performed without waiting for operation on an operation panel by the operator in response to the release of jamming when the jamming of a recording medium is detected and a 2nd mode in which the recovery operation is performed in response to specified operation on the operation panel by the operator after releasing the jamming.
