PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator control device for performing accurate protecting operation against the thermal destruction of switching elements. SOLUTION: The elevator control device comprises a first speed control computing part 202 for computing a frequency command and a torque command for motor when controlling the elevator driving motor via an inverter part having the plurality of switching elements, an abnormal temperature determination function storing part 205 for storing a function for determining whether the temperatures of the switching elements are abnormal or not, an abnormal temperature determining part 204 for determining whether the temperatures of the switching elements are normal or abnormal with reference to the function, a second speed control computing part 208 for computing the frequency command and the torque command for the motor corresponding to protecting sequence operation when the temperatures are determined to be abnormal, and a current control system computing part 207 for controlling the inverter part in accordance with the output of the first speed control computing part as a result that the temperatures are determined to be normal and with the output of the second speed control computing part as a result that the temperatures are determined to be abnormal. |
