PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a settlement system capable of easily using a credit card as a merchandise settling means in a store on the Internet. SOLUTION: A web server in which the web page of a store is stored, a settlement right management server owned by a settlement agent who obtains the right for settlement of the store, a user terminal owned by a user, and a financial institute server owned by a financial institute having the accounts of the establisher of the store, the settlement agent, and the user are allowed to communicate through an information transmitting medium with each other. The settlement right management server which is linked to the URL of the web page of the store is provided with a web page for settlement having a merchandise selecting function and a settlement form, a data base in which the information of the store is recorded, and a settlement instructing means for instructing the financial institute server to settle the costs of merchandise purchased by the user between the account of the settlement agent and the account of the store establisher, and between the account of the user and the account of the settlement agent. |
