PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic component mounting apparatus for realizing both high-speed operation and high mounting accuracy. SOLUTION: The electronic component mounting apparatus, in which an electronic component is taken by a shifting head from the feed, includes an index mechanism 15 for converting a continuous rotation input from an input axle 42a, to which the rotation is transmitted from a motor 40, to an intermittent rotation output of an output axle 43b and positioning the rotation angle of the output axle 43b to a prescribed standby angle at a standby state, in which the intermittent rotation is stopped. The index mechanism 15 includes an output axle torque compensation mechanism 47 for applying torque to the output axle 43b for controlling and accelerating the rotation movement of the output axle 43b at the timing, such as the timing of the operation state of the output axle 43b shifting from the rotation state to the stand-by state or from stand-by state to the rotation state. Then, a variation in inertial load of the index mechanism is decreased to prevent the generation of oscillations. |
