PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emission device capable of performing stably desired color display by suppressing the change of luminance of an OLED(organic light-emitting diodes), even when an organic light-emitting layer is degraded a slightly and an ambient temperature is changed and which has a simple configuration and has no waste in operation. SOLUTION: The value of voltage to be supplied from a variable power source to two pixel parts are corrected, so that the measured driving current becomes a reference value by measuring drive current of the pixel part. At measuring the drive current of the OLED, an image for monitoring is made to be displayed on the pixel part by using a video signal for monitoring whose system is different from that of a video signal for displaying an image. By the constitution, the lowering of luminance accompanied by the deterioration of the organic light-emitting layer can be suppressed, and as a result, a sharp image can be displayed. |
