PURPOSE: A structure of an organic electroluminescence element and a method for manufacturing an organic electroluminescence element are provided to reduce costs by eliminating the necessity of performing a metal mask process for forming an additional pattern on the organic layer or the second display electrode. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing an organic electroluminescence element comprises the first step of preparing a substrate; the second step of forming the first display electrode on the substrate; the third step of forming a barrier rib(120) on the substrate in such a manner that the part of the first display electrode corresponding to the pattern to be formed on the display panel is exposed; the fourth step of forming one or more organic layers on the exposed part of the first display electrode; and the fifth step of forming the second display electrode on the organic layer.
