PURPOSE: A device for supporting the open state of a vehicle hood panel is provided to conveniently support the open state of a vehicle hood panel by using a pulling unit and a support rod. CONSTITUTION: A fixing unit(4) is formed in the rear lower vehicle body of a hood panel(1). The fixing unit is inclined toward the front end portion of the hood panel. A support rod(5) is installed to slide lengthwise the hood panel. A receiving groove(5b) for receiving the end of the fixing unit when the hood panel is opened is formed in the support rod. A spring(6a) for elastically supporting the support rod toward the rear portion of the vehicle body is prepared. A cable(7) is fixed in the fixing unit and extended through a fixing groove(1c) formed in the front end of the hood panel. A pulling holder(7b) is integrally fixed with the cable. If the hood panel is opened and the pulling holder is released after being pulled, the support rod is fixed in the fixing unit. Thus, the hood panel is kept in the open state.
