<p>Clipping device for constricting and tying an article which can be deformed comprises a pair of spaced apart members for moving towards each other along a straight path of travel toward a clipping point. The members are formed with opposed surfaces shaped to progressively constrict the cross sectional area of the article during movement. One of the members is provided with a die adapted to be engaged by a clip at a said point. A punch is supported so that is slides at right angles to the path for deforming the clip on the die in a tight encircling relationship to the article.</p> |
