<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video recorder that controls a coding means to decrease an amount of coded video audio information generated by the coding means so as to conduct stable video recording without missing of recording even when a recording speed of a video audio recording means recording the coded video audio information is decreased. SOLUTION: The video recorder is provided with the coding means generating the coded video audio information, a temporary storage means that temporarily stores the coded video audio information, a video audio recording means that records the coded video audio information temporarily stored in the temporary storage means, a storage amount storage means that stores the storage amount stored in the temporary storage means, a maximum value calculation means that calculates a maximum value of storage amount from the storage amount, and a temporary storage supervisory means that supervises a change in the maximum value to control the coding means. When the temporary storage supervisory means detects that the maximum value is increased, the temporary storage supervisory means controls the coding means so as to decrease the information amount of the generated coded video audio information.</p> |
