PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear motion device which can prevent trouble due to lack of lubricant by constantly supplying the lubricant to the surface on which a rolling element rolls. SOLUTION: A screw shaft 11 having a screw groove 12 on its outer circumferential face is made of a porous sintered body. A nut 14 to be engaged with the screw groove 12 through a number of rolling elements is made of a porous sintered body, and the porous sintered body forming the screw shaft 11 and the nut 14 is impregnated with a lubricant. The lubricant impregnated to the porous sintered body oozes out to the surface of the screw groove 12 and forms a film of the lubricant.
