PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize the number of components of a double-acting piston supercharger provided with an accumulator. SOLUTION: In this double-acting piston supercharger, a pair of pistons 62U, 62L integrally operated by a crank shaft 52 are slidably supported on a common cylinder 54a mounted on a cylinder block 54, and compression chambers 69U, 69L formed on both ends of the cylinder 54a are connected to a combustion chamber of an engine through an exhaust chamber 71U and the accumulator 71L. As the accumulator 71L of large capacity is integrally formed inside of one cylinder head 60L, the number of components can be reduced and the supercharger can be miniaturized in comparison with a case when the accumulator 71L is independently mounted, and further as the connection of the compression chambers 69U, 69L and the accumulator 71L by a pipe mounted outside of the cylinder block 54 becomes unnecessary, the number of components and the assembling man-hour can be further reduced.
