PURPOSE: An automatic bit changing apparatus is provided to shorten a bit changing time and to improve a working efficiency by automatically changing a bit. CONSTITUTION: An automatic bit changing apparatus(20) is detachably installed on an arm of a robot(10) so as to detachably receive bits. A bit rotating device(30) is provided to receive a plurality of tools which are inputted into the automatic bit changing apparatus(20). The bit rotating device is rotated in a predetermined angle according to a predetermined signal applied thereto. A pneumatic pressure generator(40) is connected to the automatic bit changing apparatus(20) through a fluid passage changing valve in order to move bits in forward or backward direction. A controller is provided to control the automatic bit changing apparatus(20), a bit rotating device(30) and a pneumatic pressure generator(40).
