METHOD FOR CONTROLLING OPERATION OF REFRIGERATOR

PURPOSE: A method for controlling operation of refrigerator is provided to reduce power consumption and to improve reliability of a compressor. CONSTITUTION: Liquefied refrigerant remaining in a freezer compartment evaporator(5) is evaporated on completion of F cycle operating step when only the freezer compartment evaporator is operated or of RF cycle operating step when both of the freezer compartment evaporator and a refrigerator compartment evaporator(4) are successively operated after operation of a refrigerator is stopped so that gaseous refrigerant flows into a compressor(1) when the refrigerator is started again. Operation of the freezer compartment evaporator is extended for fixed duration to maintain set temperature of a freezer compartment using cooling force remaining in the freezer compartment evaporator.
