PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optically compensate a liquid crystal cell by combining an optically anisotropic layer composed of a liquid crystalline polymer and an optically anisotropic transparent supporting body. SOLUTION: In an optical compensation sheet having the optically anisotropic layer composed of the liquid crystalline polymer and the transparent supporting body composed of a cellulose acetate film, the liquid crystalline polymer is nematic-aligned or twisted-nematic-aligned in a glassy state and the cellulose acetate film with 0-20 nm Re retardation value and 30-70 nm Rth retardation value is used. |
