The device is composed of a wound wick connected to a ring (4) at the end of a chain (8), both connected to a handle (9). The wick is contained in a honeycombed cylindrical box (5) provided with a nut (7) welded on its lower end by a closed welded washer (6). This cage covers the wick and the nut and is introduced into a cylinder (3) forming a wick winding mandrel by introducing the eye bolt (4-1) through its washer.
