A pipe consists of an inner layer of a polar material formed at least in part from an elastomer, an outer supple layer of an apolar material, and an intermediate layer to facilitate adhesion between the inner and outer layers. It can also have a knitted layer of synthetic fibre between the intermediate and outer layers. A pipe consists of an inner layer (10) of a polar material formed at least in part from an elastomer, an outer supple layer (16) of an apolar material, and an intermediate layer (12) to facilitate adhesion between the inner and outer layers. It can also have a knitted layer (14) of synthetic fibre between the intermediate and outer layers. The inner layer of the pipe is some 1.5 mm thick, the intermediate layer some 0.5 mm, and the outer layer about 3 mm thick.
